Pristine Alpacas was born in 1997 on a 100 acre property just outside Queanbeyan, NSW.  Beginning with just 8 alpacas from Cedar House genetics, the Pristine Herd quickly grew to over 50 head.

Due to work commitments in July 2003, Pristine re-located to Adelaide.  Pristine sold half of its herd for the relocation to Adelaide, and is now in the process of building up numbers.  Now located in the Adelaide Hills, Echunga, Pristine is situated on 42 acres which overlook the beautiful wineries.  A very pretty location on the side of the hill, always green with pasture always in abundance.

Located in the high rainfall area, Sandy & Allen produce and sell their own high quality meadow hay.  Over 8 acres of irrigated lucerne hay is now in production and ready for sale with several cuts throughout the year.

Alpacas are very hardy characters, relatively easy to care for in all climatic conditions and with virtually no environmental impact.  Their distinctive personalities and very gentle natures make them delightful and very loveable pets.

The Merciers have been involved with Alpacas since approximately 1997.
